How to use our templates

It's simple! Just click on the link below and download the template of your choice as a Word doc. We recommend that you save it now to your own PC or USB Flash Drive.

If you are applying for different types of jobs we recommend you consider creating more than one version of your resume to cater for your differing career preferences. For example, you may be interested in both administration and horticulture. Most of the information in both versions of your resume will be identical with the exception of areas such as "Interests" and "Work History".

The version tailored to horticultural jobs may expand on any unpaid work experience you have undertaken in this area. Perhaps you volunteered on a community garden project? Or, in your spare time, you assist an elderly neighbor in his or her garden. An industry tailored resume is also the place to list any courses you have undertaken which are relevant to the job you are applying for

Our template documents are not locked. This means you can change existing headings or insert new ones to suit your individual needs. You will see in the template where you need to insert your own text. Simply click and hold down the left mouse button to highlight the block of text you want to change. It's that easy!

Creating a great resume starts with careful thought and planning. Make sure you also check out our Resume Fact Sheets for useful information and ideas.
